Dennis has been advising clients, helping them with their finances, since 2004, and in 2010 he earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM certification. Before becoming a financial advisor, Dennis worked as a financial and production executive leader in the agriculture industry. He joined the Stephens Heffner team in 2024 after spending nearly 20 years with Lincoln Financial Advisors. Dennis frequently advises farmers, ranchers and family-owned agriculture operations. He is particularly passionate about helping families keep the farm in the family through careful estate and succession planning.
Dennis grew up on a diversified family farm and is very active in the agriculture community. He has been a facilitator for Farm Journal’s Top Producers Executive Network, completed Wittman Consulting’s “Train the Trainer” Program for Farm Family Business Advisors, served as a Member of the University of Missouri – College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR) Ag Alumni Board of Directors, is a regular guest speaker for the Dickinson Scholars Program, is a member of the Blue Springs (MO) High School Agriculture Advisory Committee, is an Associate Member of the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association and a Member of the Financial Planning Association of Greater Kansas City.
Dennis graduated with a Master’s in Business Administration from Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin and BS in Agriculture from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He holds the Series 7, 63, and 66 securities registrations and Life and Health Insurance licenses.
Dennis resides in Lee’s Summit, Missouri with his wife and enjoys frequently visiting his three adult sons. His personal interests include Boy Scouts of America, snowmobiling, and cheering for the Missouri Tigers.
